Hello All,

Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.

Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).

Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

p.s. Sorry about all of the coding errors. They reset nightly these days and I can't keep up with changing the code that often... :(

Duty: World of the Young Ancients Book One, is LIVE!

Unread postby PS Power » Tue Apr 30, 2019 5:44 pm

It doesn't "officially" go live until midnight. There are some errors in the one that is up right now that should be fixed before that point. (So you CAN buy now, or wait a few hours and get one without those blunders that were made by me.)

This one was fun and light. The next up, I think (I reserve the right to change my mind, but plan to start on it in the morning tomorrow) is the last of the new Keeley books. "As Evil Does".

This one will be a bit harder hitting than the last several works I put out, without going into the despair and angst of Vile Machinations. I know that a lot of people didn't really understand the concept of looking at things from the side of the bad guys. They weren't the "Evil League of Evil", which had a few people giving poor reviews, due to that idea. (And one or two poor reviews from people who clearly understood the point, but who didn't like it anyway. That's risk for you though. You can't always win!)

So, I won't go that dark. Still, A bit more grit and sarcasm in the entertainment? That might work. I have to mainly match the tone of the previous two books in the trilogy, though, so there is only so much I can do with that.

I'm also planning to start a new Lilly Leeds series. One that isn't erotica, but that has the same characters. (I'm uncertain on this one, so... Yeah. They will still be running a porn studio and making movies (indy, but real ones) but there won't be the sex content at the same kind of level. More... "People were doing some adult things on the sofa, with another of our friends recording it." instead of going into the sounds, scents and blow by blow action sequences.

That probably won't be a big seller either, though it might be a little longer. Perhaps more of a romance? That or something slightly supernatural...

*I'm thinkin out loud here. Still, let me know if you have any thoughts or ideas for that.

Thanks!

I greatly enjoyed Duty. Couldn't put it down once I started reading. Already posted a review.

Very much looking forward to the next book in the series.

Thanks. I appreciate all real reviews. Even the ones that might take me to task are appreciated. (In reference to Vile Machinations. I took a risk, people didn't enjoy it, I know not to go in that direction too often. Lesson learned, at least in part.) :)

My review finally got approved putting the average over four stars, not sure why it took so damned long, I posted it almost twenty-four hours ago.

Hope it helps, the book deserved it.

I hope it helps as well. These are some of the worst sales I have ever had on a book. The very worst for this time period for a YA related title.

I'll put out an email in a few days, but that may not actually do a lot. This is looking pretty bleak, truth be told. All that work, almost totally wasted.

*At least a few people seem to have liked the book. So, that's good. Generally try to share my efforts with more than fifty people though, to be honest. (Vain of me, I know.) :)

Hey Dale, just finished Duty. I really enjoyed it. I left a review, but I have to apologize. I mean, I didn't do it on purpose, but... I can't seem to take it back i wrote out P.S. Power but it came out Poster -P.S.Poster ! I don't expect you to change your name or anything like that but- sorry. Really though, it was really good. I hope you do finish this trilogy kind of quickly i like Al a lot. Small problem, on my part, I've been reading sci-fi a lot lately, so I automatically read it as A-I instead of Al, short for Albert. Like I said, my problem. Aannyyway, just wanted you to know you are appriciated, a great deal.

That's okay Donald, we all make mistakes on occasion... :)

(Tee-he. Just kidding, Ronald.)

The sales on this are currently tanking, but hopefully it recovers in the initial starting period. If not, then I'll probably have to think about what to do next. I mean, I already have been, but I've learned to take a step back before burning bridges and setting worlds on fire. Regardless of my emotional state of the moment.

Things are a little dark here, right now. I'll live.

Thanks for the review! Hopefully they bother to put it up in a timely fashion.
