Hello All,
Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.
Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).
Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

p.s. Sorry about all of the coding errors. They reset nightly these days and I can't keep up with changing the code that often...

Re: Wiki Disclaimer
I can see how that might be an issue if we think that most of the content would be considered spoilers. If most wasn't, it would be the right thing to do though. I'm not sure I have a good feel for the breakdown of this though. For example geographic data would not be spoilers, character data may or...

Can this still be handled by the spoiler template stuff?

Re: Wiki Disclaimer
I would make the first occurrence of spoiler a link to the wiki article like I did in an earlier post. I still think there is benefit to having a spoiler warning once at the start of relevant pages as well, even though it is a bit tedious. You cannot assume that people reading the article always ent...

Re: Countess of Desire
One way you can get around the power levels is by introducing some sort of natural backlash; The rapid growth of magic use causing damage to whatever natural system powers the creation of the amulets which in turn makes it extremely difficult to create new magic (even simple magic), it could even c...

Re: Progress!
Has it been a few days yet? Not impatient, just going through withdrawal. ;) Ditto I feel like the annoying kid who keeps asking are where there yet. :D As I understand things - which could be wrong, I think the earliest it would be ready would be tomorrow, but that Thursday would be more likely.

Re: Wiki Disclaimer
Also, I would recommend reading the discussions at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Spoiler_warning/guidelines#Use_sparingly as they give a lot of useful info in that article. (how to hide spoilers, limiting the use of them, etc) Personally, I think that there should not be more than one ...

Re: Wiki Disclaimer
Unless you can get the wiki software to automatically include a general disclaimer (ie a header) I would only have a disclaimer on the main page and maybe the main page for each book. It is too much to have to have it on each page, unless the software does it automatically. I think you can do this u...

Re: What to read while waiting for the next P.S. Power book
To be fair, it's not simply Penguin, Amazon's own thing sets weird prices. If you look at Dale's books after he stopped setting the prices himself, you'll see them ranging anywhere from .99 for a full half series, to 2.99 to 6.99 for single books. The only time I absolutely will not buy from a 'pub...

Re: War day: This title may change... :)
As I understand it, Dale sends out the manuscripts as a word document. Although I can read and possibly edit such work on a pc or Mac, the Kindle I use almost constantly now does not offer itself to editing in such a fashion. I can send, receive, print, compose within the Kindle itself, but I know ...

I'm not sure what using a laptop has to do with things. Since the books appear to not be in print format for the majority of them, I assume you read with either a computer (laptop) or an ereader. In either case you could do the same: 1 If the computer, then reading the book there is no different exc...
