Hello All,
Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.
Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).
Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

Re: I'm considering doing a few more stand alone books this year
Why does the main character always have to be sympathetic?... They clearly don't. There is a long and storied history of antiheroes. My thought had more to do with market success rather than dramatic viability. True, House could be seen as unsympathetic by some ... except that just like Keeley, he ...

Re: Dareg Book 3: First draft done.
[SPOILER ALERT] Good points, but I don't think a large number of them have the resources to move between worlds, as was hinted at in Persist , and it looks like they may have a means of finding out the location of the original via Epson's powers. That was the limited circumstance I was talking abou...

Re: Dareg Book 3: First draft done.
... Not that this has anything to do with Dareg, in particular. :) To segue back to the topic, it could have something to do with Dareg. /cough, cough... [SPOILER ALERT] I mean, he is nearly a certified doomsday machine at this point, but he's up against doomier doomsday machines. And he'll have ac...

Re: I'm considering doing a few more stand alone books this year
I think I have an idea. It's a bit different. A story about a man that works as a programmer for the secret government. As in the person that tortures mind controlled slaves into being what they are... It's a dirty job, and takes a hard man to get it done. But even a cold heart might soften in time...

Re: Dareg Book 3: First draft done.
I suspect that part of the problem in the hit-miss ratio with cops is heart rate. It isn't just about the adrenaline itself. Having a fear response increases the heart rate fast. We were taught constantly that once our heart rate reached 145bpm that our fine motor control would take a severe hit and...

Re: Dareg Book 3: First draft done.
Being able to address a task and see it through is a super power... That said, I still have no clue what project to go after next. Currently, I'm working on armed combat techniques. Not for a book or story, or even to fight the aliens that are coming (they aren't) (I hope...) just because. Sigh. :)...

Re: Dareg Book 3: First draft done.
I'm sure I'm making an assumption here, but considering your rate of production and the fact that I've never seen characters made to work so hard in stories, I get the impression that you are allergic to proper relaxation, Dale. My sister's in-laws are like that. "Vacation" means go fix up...

Re: I'm considering doing a few more stand alone books this year
It would be neat to see you try your hand at alternate history/time travel, with the only scifi/fantasy element being how the characters got into their situation. I'm a huge fan of Eric Flint, so that would be a happiness factory for me. A pure high fantasy novel with zero scifi elements would be pr...

And I keep telling people that, but they just look at my GQ-ready profile and scoff. What's a man supposed to do?

Been reading it for an hour now. I love not having to wait a year or two for a sequel. Your production rate is remarkable, Dale!
