Hello All,

Dale and I have been communicating about the recent problems with the Forum here at pspowerbooks.com. It has been decided to retire the Forum and move all author & conversational interactions over to Patreon.

Over the next week or so, I'll be closing down the Forum and creating redirects to start funneling visitors of the Forum over to that URL (the main website showing all the books will be staying).

Thank you everyone for your participation on the Forum these past several years! See you on Patreon!!

p.s. Sorry about all of the coding errors. They reset nightly these days and I can't keep up with changing the code that often... :(

Re: Scotch

Thanks for your comments Dan. I'm sorry that alcohol has had a negative impact on your life and glad to hear that you overcame the issues you had with it. I started this topic in fun and as you can see by my comments it's meant to be somewhat tongue in cheek. You understandably have some strong fee...

Re: Scotch

I drank hard liquor from the time I was about 15 years old, until I was in my early 20's. It took me longer to quit beer, so I was around 25 when I finally quit drinking entirely. When I was drinking, I would drink scotch, bourbon, or gin, though I preferred brandy. I also drank pink wine (I see no ...

Re: Zack's Powers

Since I am retired, every day is a day off for me. Since I don't eat meat, I get no enjoyment from sitting in on feasts where meat is the focus of the meal. And since I live far away from any of my relatives, and my few friends are occupied with the aforementioned feasts on holidays, a holiday is fo...

Re: Zack's Powers

When I was studying for my amateur radio exams (something like 30 or 40 years ago) I found the electronics theory so difficult, that after about two hours of study my brain would go blank, and I'd get to the end of a paragraph and not have grasped what it was saying at all, so I'd re-read it, and so...

Re: Zack's Powers

It's human nature to get invested in characters... Very true. I still find that interesting. Perhaps because it applies to me also, and I don't understand why this is. Maybe because at the dawn of language, "stories" began as reports of actual goings on, and there was survival value in re...

Re: Changed the posting a bit

Most of the forums I've participated in give the user the option of selecting the number of posts per page. Not a big deal, but I'd rather scroll than have to go through multiple pages. I imagined that was a standard feature of the BBS software. OTOH, there's benefits to keeping the software simple,...

Re: Zack's Powers

Hi Ronald. I, also, cannot predict what Dale will do. And since we're speaking of fictional characters, there's no "real" here, as in someone's true nature. We can speculate on what Dale will have Zack do, or we can make believe that Zack is a real person and discuss his character. It's in...

Re: Zack's Powers

... consistently in the Keeley books they say she is too nice for a demon... But who are "they"? Other demons! When demons say that another demon is "too nice for a demon," I say that we, the readers, are free to disagree. It is precisely her niceness that I love about Keeley. E...

Re: Facebook Style "Liking" of Posts

No big deal for me. (I don't use Facebook. It seems kind of creepy, to tell you the truth.) When a forum deals in controversial topics, a "like" button is an easy way to register an opinion without writing a new post. But in a friendly site like this, I really don't see the need. One forum...
