Zack is my favorite character, more than any in all the different books! (Okay, I don't know the zombie books because...hack, Zombies Can't stand Zombies, too scary)

Is Zack's personality the same or did it change I wonder...

Kat, I felt the same way about reading the Dead End series, I don't like horror stuff. But I read all the other books and just finally decided to try one. NOT horror that makes you afraid, just more to enjoy!
Okay, it's a zombie world but it's about the people trying to save it. Really good too. And didn't make my heart pound in fear like a scarey slasher movie would (my husband loves those, I read or do something else when he watches those). I can't watch them, I have nightmares for months after.

Actually I just finished re-reading them all!

*grumpy* your then 14 year old cousin didn't make your 4 year old self watch Chainsaw massacre, the original Dracula and lots of Zombie movies twice a week until he turned 18 and moved away....I still have nightmares about those...

Um, no.... I didn't have that. I couldn't have tolerated that. Ugh! My sympaties on being tormented that way...

My hubby had me watch the old black and white movie Night of the Living Dead shortly after we married (37 years ago)... I had nightmares for 3 months, every night, woke screaming half the time. He now makes sure if it's going to be icky, he goes in another room to watch, or just won't watch it. I just have too vivid an imagination and just can't CAN'T do those kinds of stories.

Trust me, the Dead End series won't freak you out.
