Team Hally is in an uproar!

She gets mentioned but is never seen! I kept waiting for Keels to drop the bomb: "I can't actually have sex with Steve because it would piss off his sister. Who's sort of my wife."

She can't admit that, even if it's true. The other demons would make fun of her.

More like a sitcom.

Mark: 1. Keeley wouldn't care.

2. If that was the case, she'd never admit it in public of private, since anything you love is a potential hostage.

I do have a Hally plan, but it needs some time to come about.

So I absolutely love the different realities talk in here and I hope that means we will see them in another series soon, it's exciting. Also finally a possible hint of a bigger threat that possibly can affect multiple universes

I'm trying to decide if the older demons, Darla specifically, being pointed out as sneaky and stealthy at their 'evil' is a moment of amazing fridge brilliance or if it just fell into place later. If that was planned waaaaaay back in the original books when Keels was complaining about Darla being slightly bad at censoring her evil nature then that was well planned. Darla is just slightly off and it takes someone at demon level perspective/intelligence to see it at all being why Keels sees it and noone else does.

I'm also thinking that The Rotted straight up admitted that her 'insanity' is that she falls in love with people and has nothing at all to do with the whole zombie thing which is a perfectly acceptable demon hobby. ...and that the character has been written that way the entire time starting when she sort of fell in love with Zack while spying on him.

Also, why isn't the angel thing sticking better for Keels? It's been how long now? She was able to bend her mind around line walking in just a few days (which was supposed to take years and years), but shes apparently been doing this over and over and it's just not sticking...that's bad. Wasn't the plan for her to hold the 'I'm pretending that angels are real' until it became real for her. Is that outright impossible for demons then? Did she have to go to a new plan of just keeping an increasingly longer magic notebook in her head of angel info that she's constantly forgetting and relearning? Granted she has a perfect memory for writing/reading the info, but the credibility of the info is going to suffer terribly for that at the start of each cycle leaving a window where she could take wrong actions.

If Fram takes the job as Greater Demon public relations person just because it makes him look important and lets him try to set policy and be unofficially in charge of the other demons that's going to be hilarious. Ty joked that way and might have set that hook accidentally without even realizing it. I'm not sure how that would work since about 95% of them would be likely to just flip him off and go back to running over babies or whatever they were doing at the moment instead of listening to him, not that being effective has ever stopped Fram before.

Honestly I was surprised about the angel thing not sticking with Keeley as well, at the end of book five when she "looked at what Michael saw" and fixed her brain I figured that was it. So... She can see the golden stuff and sense the creator but still forgets Angels?

It was startling when I read that. But I thought of another possibility...

Of course... She could have been faking not remembering, so she doesnt stick out quite so much, just because Tyler came to that conclusion from his point of view doesn't make it real...

Demons lie etc...

So Keely remembers them perfectly, but when questioned about it gives answers fitting a model of a slightly faulty memory trick that could be used by a normal demon still affected by the 'forgetting'...<sigh> that's actually a stunningly obvious possibility in hindsight. It would let her play both sides of the fence as needed making her look informed but not involved.

Who were Storm's 2 buddies at the end?

Did anyone else kind of /facepalm that we go through a whole series of Ty almost getting killed by feminists for pretty much no reason, get all the way to the end and what does he do...he takes the little girl doll/demon/whatever as a sex slave for 10 years and immediately puts her to work making porn. Probably half the mainstream feminists in the world (in series) would legitimately try to shoot him for that, but the series is over before anyone finds out about it. Hopefully there's some shapeshifting pre-sextape and some coordinated lying after or he's not as good at Human-Other relations as he needs to be.
