For anyone who hasn't watched the star wars christmas special...there is one part where they do a tutorial on how to put together a fictional computer. no. I'm not kidding.

I was going with IronEdge until you mentioned Krav Maga, Dale. Now I'm conflicted.

Don't worry, that's just her Martial arts style. It isn't an in-depth part of things... :)

I got derailed on Iron Edge for a few days. It's interesting so far, as to what I have. (10,000 words, so not that much yet! I'll catch up however... I will I say. I WILL!!!)

The Star Wars Christmas Special is magic. If you haven't seen it, you should get a copy off line. You can't buy it anywhere. It's been hidden from the ages. For a reason. (You get to see Princess Lea ALL cocked up, for instance. The first fifteen minutes is in wookie. Without subtitles. That isn't a joke! Grandpa watches porn in the living room and Bea Arthur works, and sings, in an alien bar... You know, the main Golden Girl?)

:)

Iron Edge looks interesting, but I am a sucker for Josh and Amy so I would love to read the Fixer, too!

Iron Edge is done, except for the editing. (Halfway through that... I need to go over it again before everyone else gets to see it. In a few days? It isn't' a huge book or anything.)

I'm considering a change up for the next book. It was going to be Professor Proton, but I think too many will find it similar to Gwen Farris. I don't want to seem predictable. I do have other things to work on, however...

Fixer was number 3, please consider that (or Avery Rome 3 you like triologies). :D

I'm planning a three book set to come out in February of next year, if possible.

*It isn't some hidden love for trilogies, as much as that being a number that works for most readers. More than five books and people tend to find the stories too predictable. Three is traditional and resonates with a lot of people. four might also work, but I tend to be done with the stories after three books written in six to eight weeks. (Burned out on the tale... You get the idea.)

I was reading Perry Rhodan (I have all of them that were translated to English). At the end they had 500 books from now see Perry in the Andromada Galaxey....... I could not wait for the intervening books. So long series are something I love.

Long series can be really awesome to read, following some characters for years and years, exploring some setting truly in-depth. But it's true that shorter ones are easier to keep fresh ... and less likely to screw up, too ;) Can't say I prefer one over the other in a hypothetically "same quality" scenario.
