Hello,

We've had a recent spat of Russian spambots to our little website. It added several dozen spam accounts to the site and caused all kinds of wonderful havoc. Because of this, we're shutting down the Registration for the website for a while to stop the bots from doing what they're been doing. I also deleted a LOT of accounts that I believed to be part of the tsunami. If I inadvertently deleted your account, please forgive me and contact me to let me know. We'll get you back onsite asap.

Best wishes everyone!

Yeah, I don't do pie often at all, but I always manage to pick up at least one pumpkin pie this time of year.

I've never been that big on pumpkin pie, so I won't miss that one all that much. On the good side, I can have lots of turkey that day? :)

Where I live people look forward to sweet potato pie rather than pumpkin pie for Turkey Day. Not that it makes a difference to me. I've literally never come across a pie worthy of my scorn. Although I can't recommend it as a lifestyle choice, even if it is delicious.

On that note, YA has caused me to crave foods more than once. Specifically honey-slathered cakes. I'm guessing those are effectively pancakes...

In Noram everyone eats honey on pancakes. They have maple syrup, but it's normally used for actual cakes...

I always wondered about that - is that something that's common someplace, or is that something that you just made up to give some..ahem...FLAVOR to the YA universe?

On the television show The Simpsons, the next door neighbors eat Honey on their pancakes, instead of maple syrup. :)

blame that one on the Flanders...

Inspiration strikes in unlikely places, eh? I just figured it might be a regional thing that I wasn't aware of.

Almost everything is inspirational though. Clearly.
